Preeclampsia is a medical condition in which hypertension arises in pregnancy in association with significant amounts of protein in the urine. If left untreated, preeclampsia can lead to serious or even fatal complications for both mom and baby. Failure to diagnose and treat preeclampsia may be malpractice.
