Transit Accidents

Various transportation authorities operate buses and trains and the bus depots and train stations that are required to run the system. Improper training, operation and maintenance can all lead to rider accidents. Train operators are supposed to see what is on the track and stop their train in time; bus operators are supposed to stop within the bus stop and reasonably close to the curb - they are not supposed to pull away as you are knocking on the door and they are not supposed to jerk their bus!

You or someone you know may have a claim against the Transportation Authority if you have fallen on/off a bus; fallen down subway stairs or on the platform; have been assaulted in a subway station; have been hit by a bus, train, or had doors close on a body part.
